Tests & Measures: Overview

Overview

Searching for tests and measures can be complex.  Information for finding them in individual databases can be found in the tabs above. Here are a few tips to get you started:

  • There are multiple options for locating tests and measures, many of which are covered by this guide.  The best approach will vary depending on your topic area and need.  For individual assistance with locating tests, please contact the library.

  • Some tests may not be readily available.  This is particularly true for published commercial tests, which charge for their use.  Some tests require users to have specific licenses or credentials to utilize the text. For these type of tests, you may only be able to access a citation and/or a review of the test.

  • Unpublished tests are often more easily accessible and do not charge for their use.  Unpublished tests may be located via many sources, including books, journal articles, dissertations, and ERIC documents.

  • Ask a librarian!  When you need to locate a test or measure, make an appointment to meet with a librarian, or contact us via email, telephone, or chat for assistance locating a relevant test.
