Commentaries from a Jewish Perspective

The commentaries below interpret and explain the biblical text from a Jewish perspective.

Most Jewish commentaries focus on the Torah (the first 5 books of the Old Testament, also known as the Pentateuch), though some commentaries also cover other books from the Old Testament.

Torah Commentaries

The Torah includes the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.

ArtScroll Tanach series

The ArtScroll Tanach commentary series does not include commentaries on the following books of the Bible:

  • Exodus
  • Judges
  • Isaiah

Commentary covering Judges, Isaiah, and all books of the OT
