IEEE Xplore

IEEE Xplore

The Clark Library no longer subscribes to full text in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. Engineering students conducting research may be eligible for an individual subscription to IEEE Xplore. Check with your professor or email engineering@up.edu.

Search IEEE Xplore

The IEEE Xplore search interface is freely available and useful for finding specific sources such as journal articles, books, conference proceedings, and standards.

SEARCH IEEE Xplore

Getting IEEE Articles or Conference Papers

* If a source is open access, you can view the full text within IEEE Xplore for free.

* If you are a current University of Portland student and prompted to pay for an article or paper, you have two options:

  1. Email engineering@up.edu with a link to the requested item. The Shiley School of Engineering will pay for single article or paper downloads.
  2. Request an article or paper through UP ILLiad, the library's Interlibrary Loan Service. We will try to acquire a PDF from another library on your behalf, and at no expense to you.

Getting IEEE Books or Standards

1. Search for the book or standard title in UP + Summit to see if it is available at the Clark Library or from a library in Summit (a northwest consortium of academic libraries).

Search: for:

2. Didn't find it in UP + Summit? Request it through UP ILLiad, and we will try to borrow it from a larger network of libraries for short-term loan.

3. Would the book or standard be useful to have in our library collection? Email a purchase suggestion to Diane Sotak, librarian liaison to Engineering.
