The Clark Library gives you access to a lot of information, but there's even more available through a large network of libraries that shares materials through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). If we don't have something, we can often acquire it from another library on your behalf, and at no expense to you. This includes books for short-term loan or PDFs of articles you can download. All you have to do is request items as you need them by logging into UP ILLiad, the system that powers our Interlibrary Loan service.
Summit is the book lending program for the Orbis Cascade Alliance, a group of academic libraries (including UP) in the Pacific Northwest. Using Interlibrary Loan we can borrow books and articles from nearly anywhere in the US or Canada, and we can get article copies from many other countries as well.
Articles usually arrive within 3 days. Books usually take 7-10 business days, depending on where they're being shipped from.
We partner with libraries across the United States and occasionally internationally. Below are some of the libraries we have borrowed from this year.
