U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM)
Charged to work alongside African military personnel to support their military operations.
Special Operations Command (USSOCOM)
Charged with overseeing the special operations command components of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force of the United States Armed Forces.
U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM)
Responsible for the unified command and authority over all U.S. Forces in the "central" area of the globe located between the African, European and Indo-Pacific Commands.
U.S. European Command (USEUCOM)
Responsible for unified command and authority over all U.S. forces in Europe.
U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM)
Enhances stability in the Asia-Pacific region by promoting security cooperation, encouraging peaceful development, and responding to contingencies.
U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM)
Coordinates Department of Defense (DOD) homeland defense efforts and provides defense support of civil authorities.
U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM)
Responsible for providing contingency planning, operations, and security cooperation in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)
Responsible for national leadership in the understanding of specific threats around the world and potential responses.
U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM)
Provides transportation services and capabilities to the other combatant commands, the military services, and defense agencies.
