In the UP Library Search catalog, the full record for a book will sometimes have a list of chapter titles. You'll find the list in the "Details" section, under "Description." Alternatively, you can use the same methods to locate chapter titles that you would use to locate page numbers -- see the "How Can I Find Page Numbers?" box to the right.
To abide by copyright law, Clark Library staff consider four factors of Fair Use, including "the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole." Generally, staff consult the copyright brevity guidelines which stipulate 1 chapter or 10% of the work, whichever is less.
