National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)
Gateway to a suite of databases and tools for exploring structures and sequences of genes and proteins.
ExPASy: Bioinformatics Resource Portal
ExPASy (Expert Protein Analysis System) provides access to databases and software tools in proteomics, genomics, phylogeny, systems biology, population genetics, transcriptomics, etc. Hosted by the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics [SIB].
Proteopedia is a tool for sharing knowledge about the structure and function of proteins, DNA, and other macromolecules on the web, developed by scientists at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. See the Video Guide
for more help.
A collection of protein sequences from several sources, including translations from annotated coding regions in GenBank, RefSeq and TPA, as well as records from SwissProt, PIR, PRF, and PDB. See How Tos
for more help.
