This guide provides information to assist with using the Artstor database, which is an online, searchable collection of images covering art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences.
Artstor access is restricted to current UP students, faculty, and staff.
Search an artist, title of work, medium, etc. Or choose Advanced Search for more options.
Use the Advanced Search screen to narrow your search by date, by image content (classification), country (geography), and more.
On the search results screen, choose a thumbnail to enlarge the image and see more information about it.
Register for an optional personal account to download and save images. (Then use the Log in link to access your account after you have created it).
Use the buttons at the upper left of the image to zoom, rotate, fit the image to the screen, or view the image in full screen mode.
On the right side of the screen, you will find:
