Finding Artists in Artstor


How to browse modern art/artists in Artstor:

  1. Navigate to the Artstor database using the link above.
  2. In the search box enter the type of art you are looking for: painting, sculpture, drawing, photo, architecture, installation art, or graphic art. (Note: it is important to use "art" while searching installation and graphic art and not "artist") 
  3. Once you have a page of search results use the date limiter to limit your search to modern results, 1960-present year.

 

Image Use

Images downloaded from Artstor may be used for scholarly purposes, such as student papers or presentations. You may write/talk about the images. 

Images may not be used for commercial purposes. You can not make money from using the images.
