This is a placeholder for locating frequently used content in LibGuides so that it can easily be added to other guides.

Getting Full Text

Choose a Get it @ UP link (under Access Options) to find out if the article is available online, or to request a copy of the article.


Choose a link under View Online to access the full text of the article. If the article isn't immediately available online, choose Request from Interlibrary Loan to request a copy of the article.

Search Strategy

Put each concept in its own search box, and put "or" between synonyms. Use the asterisk to look for different spellings (or endings) of a word. For example, court* will find courting, courtship, etc.

Scripture Searching in the Atla Religion Database

Beneath the search boxes, choose Subjects, then select Atla Scripture Search from the drop-down menu. Enter ONLY the name of your book of the Bible (NOT the chapter or verse) in the search box.

Choose the desired chapter and then select one or more verses and choose the Add to search button.

Add or remove terms from your search if needed, then choose the Search button.
