Borrowing

The Clark Library has a long list of things you can check out. Some are obvious like books, but some are less obvious such as equipment. See the box below to learn how to get print materials and media brought to the Service Desk for you to check out. How long can you borrow something? See the Loan Periods chart. 

Print Materials:

  • All UP-owned books
  • Books delivered through Summit or Interlibrary Loan
  • Music Scores
  • Periodicals (magazines, newspapers, journals)

Media:

  • DVDs
  • CDs
  • DVDs and CDs delivered through Summit or Interlibrary Loan

Equipment:

  • Laptops
  • Chargers for most laptops and phones
  • Whiteboard markers
  • Scissors
  • Calculators

Requesting Through the Library Catalog

To request books, DVDs, etc. from the library's collection for pick up at the Service Desk, sign in to your library account from a specific item's page within the library catalog:

Screen capture shows that in the full record for a library item, the Get It section has a Sign In link where you can enter your UP credentials.

2. Select Request UP's copy, and then submit the request.
