How to Use the Library

Borrowing

The Clark Library has a long list of things you can borrow from books to laptops!

How long can you borrow something? See the Loan Periods chart. 

Don't have time to come into the library to find books and videos in our collection? See Requesting Through the Library Catalog for more on our paging service where we bring them to the Service Desk for you to pick up.

Print Materials:

  • All UP-owned books
  • Books delivered through Summit or Interlibrary Loan
  • Music Scores
  • Periodicals (magazines, newspapers, journals)

Media:

Service Desk Equipment:

  • Laptops
  • Chargers for most laptops and phones
  • Wi-fi hotspots
  • Headphones (including noise cancelling headphones)
  • Whiteboard markers
  • Scissors
  • Calculators
  • Cables for study rooms with monitors

Requesting Through the Library Catalog

The Clark Library catalog, UP Library Search, can be used to request items (often books or DVDs) from Summit libraries or from the Clark Library's collection. They will be delivered to the Service Desk on the main floor for you to pick up.
