University of Portland Clark Library

Library Orientation

Welcome to the Clark Library

Xan Arch, Library DeanWelcome, we are so glad you have joined the UP community! Due to the University’s move to mostly online instruction, the Clark Library experience is a little different in 2020-2021. Our usual busy center for collaboration and study has changed to ensure the space is safe and healthy. However, the library is much more than a place and we will continue to effectively support all students, regardless of major, year in school, or interests. The library offers you a vast array of information resources and tools, plus help with using them. Please visit the Spring 2021 guide for the most current information and be in touch if you have questions or feedback on our resources and services.

Xan Arch, Library Dean

The Clark Library librarians, staff members, and student employees are dedicated to student success. Their work enables you to make full use of library resources and services. You will have the most contact with those who work directly with the public, so we thought we would introduce some of them in the video below. Please use the staff directory to see a full list of library employees.
