Get Materials: Quick Overview

Getting materials through the Clark Library can happen in a few different ways. For more details on obtaining materials during Summer semester, visit the Summer 2021 guide.

Library-owned content can be connected to, or requested for pick up, through UP Library Search. This includes books, eBooks, dvds, streaming videos, online articles, laptops, and more. See What Can You Borrow.

The Clark Library is also part of a regional consortium of academic libraries that share their collections with each other through a system named Summit. This gives you access to physical materials in those other libraries, such as books, dvds, and cds. Use UP Library Search to request Summit items for delivery to the Clark Library.

The Clark Library also has an Interlibrary Loan service for borrowing materials from libraries beyond Summit on your behalf. Use the UP ILLiad system to request items such as articles, book chapters, books, and more.

If you start your search in other library databases, you will often see a Get it @ UP link. This is a special tool to help connect you to full text.
