Scholarly Publishing: Pilot Scholars

The Institutional Repository of the University of Portland

University of Portland logoPilot Scholars is the Institutional Repository of scholarly and creative works produced by members of the University of Portland community. Supported by the Office of the Provost and maintained by the Clark Library, Pilot Scholars aims to increase the visibility of these works, raise awareness of interdisciplinary research, and provide a permanent home for the institution’s academic and original output. The primary aim of Pilot Scholars is to make the scholarly outputs of the university as widely available as possible and to ensure long-term preservation of these outputs.

Benefits of Pilot Scholars

  • Pilot Scholars provides a stable URL that authors can add to their CVs, portfolios, and personal websites.
  • Authors can login to Pilot Scholars to see their articles' downloads and viewership statistics.
  • Authors can increase the visibility of their research and article ranking through indexing by Google and Google Scholar.
  • Pilot Scholars provides a single place to collocate articles published in different journals.
