Chargers, whiteboard markers, calculators, computers, scissors, etc. will be checked out during our open hours on a first-come, first-served basis. Check the library catalog to see what equipment is available.
White board markers and computers will be quarantined for 24 hours before being checked out again. Small equipment that is easily cleaned will be sanitized with disinfectant wipes before being checked out again and not quarantined.
The Clark Library is the only place on campus that has laptops available for student use. All you need to borrow one is your UP ID.
Laptops loan for 24 hours, with the possibility of longer loans if we have enough laptops available. We also have a small number of laptops available for semester-long loan if needed. It is possible to renew a laptop; call us at 503-943-7111 for more information.
Laptops can be used while on campus or off campus. But if you plan to use it while off campus, make sure to log on to the laptop with your UP account BEFORE LEAVING CAMPUS. The laptop will not work if you wait until you are off campus to log on for the first time.
Digital Lab equipment (cameras, tripods, sound recorders and more) is available for checkout. Call the lab on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 1 pm to reserve equipment: 503-943-7796. Equipment will be available for pick up at the Main Floor Service Desk two hours after each consultation, during the Library's open hours.
Use of equipment is reserved for current students, faculty and staff. Loan periods are 24 hours. All equipment will be quarantined for 24 hours before being checked out again. Extended loan periods are subject to equipment availability.
