1. Enter search terms related to qualitative research and search as Index Terms, e.g. ("focus groups" or interview* or observation* or qualitative or thematic or "action research" or narrative)
2. Limit your search to Ed. D. dissertations:
You might see what looks like an error message, "Did you mean (eddo)," but "edd" is correct.
3. Limit your search to particular institutions, or change the connecting operator to "NOT" and say "NOT Walden." US state-funded institutions, e.g. "University of [State]" and "[State] State University," are worthwhile to look at if you want to browse a full list.
One concern in locating EdD dissertations is the quality of that dissertation. The 82 members of Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED) "are committed to working together to undertake a critical examination of the work done to date, as well as future efforts, and intend to be the leaders in the effort to the redesign of the doctorate in education."
