The Clark Library can mail books from our collection to distance education students. However, we can't borrow books from other libraries on behalf of Edmonton students due to the short loan periods and the time needed to ship them to/from Edmonton.
To get books from the Clark Library's collection:
Use the Format options on the left side of the search results page to see:
eBooks - access them immediately online!
Print Books - find a print book that you want to request, then:
Only need a chapter from a book? You can request it through UP ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan) and we will deliver it to you online as a PDF.
Book Delivery:
Books will be shipped to Canadian students via FedEx International Economy, in about 3-5 days.
Returning Books:
A prepaid shipping label will be included for returning the books to the University of Portland. You are responsible for prompt return of borrowed books.
Use UP Library Search to find books, streaming videos, online resources, journal articles, and much more (video tutorial). Need help? See handouts for using call numbers to find books on the shelf and Requesting Clark Library / Summit Items online.
For quicker access to books, Edmonton students are encouraged to also use:
