Mendeley: Sharing and Collaborating

Mendeley Groups

With Mendeley, you can create groups to share documents, annotations, and folders from your Mendeley Library with people who have Mendeley accounts.

  • In private groups, you can share both references and full-text documents among people who are part of the group.
  • In public groups, you can only share references, but they work well as a method to share crowd-sourcing reading lists.

Your Mendeley Account

You can personalize your main Mendeley profile by:

  • Adding your profile picture
  • Adding your publications to your My Publications folder
  • Connecting your Scopus profile to automatically upload your publications to your account.

You can also create a jobseeker account by going into your account setting, selecting on the Career Settings tab, then selecting Go to your job preferences. This account works similarly to a LinkedIn account, as you can:

  • Add a profile picture and personal information
  • Upload your CV or other certificates
  • Add job preferences, education, work experience, languages you speak, and other skills
  • Browse and apply for available jobs

This function, like the main Mendeley service, is completely free to use.

Similar to the job-seeker account, you can access the platform to create an employer account by selecting Go to your job preferences in the Career Settings tab. By creating an employer account, you can:

  • Post job opportunities
  • Search for candidates
  • Customize your employer account

This function, like the main Mendeley service, is completely free to use.`

Note: Mendeley does go through a review process of each employer account before jobs go live to ensure that your account represents a genuine company or organization that "fits with [their] brands and values." You can find more information about this process by contacting Mendeley support directly or by reviewing the Mendeley Careers site
