Accessibility at Clark Library and Beyond

Through the Library Catalog you can request to have books, DVDs, etc. from our collection brought to the service desk from the lower level. You can also order books from other academic libraries. See our guide to requesting items for more information about this service.

If you’ll need assistance in accessing materials due to limited mobility, please email library@up.edu or call 503-943-7111 prior to your visit so we can make the appropriate arrangements.

If you need an item immediately, please go to the library's service desk or call 503-943-7111 and talk to a library employee.

You may also ask someone to pick up items from the Service Desk on your behalf. Contact us at library@up.edu or 503.943.7111 to make the arrangement.

You can borrow laptops for 72 hours (with one renewal) or for a semester, and other equipment such as chargers, hotspots, scissors, and calculators. Our laptops page has more information.

You can request chapters (link goes to the request form) from books at UP or other Summit libraries that are ready for use with screen reader software. Please make a note in the comment field that you need an accessible copy.

We can digitize and provide OCR for articles as well; place a request through your ILLiad account.
