Persistent Links to Library Resources: Off-Campus Access Plugin (Firefox)

1. Go to the Firefox Browser Add-Ons page for EZProxy Redirect Foxified
2. Choose Add to Firefox. When prompted to confirm, choose Add.
3. You will see a confirmation message, and you can elect to allow the extension to run in Private Windows. Select Okay.
4. A scholar icon   will be added to your Firefox browser (you may need to choose the Extensions icon to see the scholar icon).
5. To configure EZProxy Redirect Foxified to work with UP library resources, right-click the scholar icon and choose Manage Extension.
6. On the EZProxy Redirect Foxified page (see screen capture below), select Options in the bar at the top of the screen. In the Select School drop-down list, search for University of Portland, then select it and choose Save at the bottom of the page.

1. When you are using Firefox and find an online article that you want to try to access through the UP library, choose the scholar icon .
2. The article's web page should load again with the prefix for off-campus access.
3. You may be prompted to login with your UP username and password if you have not already accessed other UP library resources that require authentication.

If you see the error message (below) indicating URL Not Configured for Off-Campus Access, this usually indicates that UP does not have an online subscription to this resource.

However, in some cases this message may appear due to a technical issue that needs to be resolved. Use the Submit button on this page to alert a librarian to confirm if we have access to this resource.
