CHM 105: Chemistry in Art

CHM 105 is part of the Core curriculum for developing information literacy skills.

1. Students will be able to use disciplinary resources in the arts to find information on artists, techniques, and materials.

2. Students will be able to use disciplinary resources in chemistry to find chemical data, hazards information, and scientific techniques used to analyze art works.

3. Students will be able to differentiate between primary and secondary sources.

 

CHM 375 Library Outcomes

1. Students will be able to access and search the standard reference works in chemistry.

2. Students will be able to access and search the chemistry databases.

3. Students will be able to search by drawing chemical structures and reactions.

4. Students will be able to evaluate results to find the correct form of substances.

5. Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to refine results using limiters within databases.

6. Students will be able to cite their sources in ACS style.
